How to read these profiles

"Peptide" just means a short chain of amino acids. The molecules on this site are a grab-bag: some are approved prescription drugs, some are still in trials, and some have only ever been tested in cells and animals. The status label on each card tells you which is which.

Approved

Reviewed and licensed by a medicines regulator for human use. Has a known, monitored risk profile.

Investigational

In formal clinical trials. Shows promise on some measures, but safety and benefit are not settled.

Research-only

No regulator has approved it for the use described. Evidence is usually pre-clinical or small-scale.

Why milligram amounts are shown. Each profile lists the vial sizes these compounds are commonly supplied in, because it's one of the most common questions. Those numbers are for orientation only — amounts vary widely between suppliers, and a larger vial is not an instruction to use more.

The supply chain is unregulated

"Research-grade" peptides are not made to pharmaceutical standards. Independent testing repeatedly finds wrong amounts, wrong compounds, and contamination. What's on the label is not a guarantee of what's in the vial.

Dosing errors are common

Reconstitution maths, unit confusion, and mislabeled concentrations lead to real harm. Small peptides can have large effects, and "more" is not safer.

Interactions are real

GLP-1 and GIP agonists can cause dangerous lows with diabetes medication and slow the absorption of oral drugs. A blended vial stacks several active compounds at once. These are not isolated systems, and "just a peptide" is not the same as "no interactions."

Injectables carry infection risk

Non-sterile technique, reused needles, and non-sterile water cause abscesses and bloodstream infections. Any injection is a route past every barrier your body has.

Long-term safety is mostly unknown

For most research-only peptides there is no human data past a few weeks. "No reported problems" often just means "not studied long enough to find them."

What is this site for?

It's a plain-language reference on the peptides being talked about locally — what each one is, what the evidence actually says, the risks, and where it stands legally. It's written to be read in one sitting rather than pieced together from forums.

What does "research-only" mean exactly?

It means no medicines regulator has approved that compound for the use being discussed. The evidence behind it is usually limited to cell cultures, animal models, or small human studies — not the large controlled trials required for approval.

Are these peptides safe?

It depends entirely on the compound. Approved drugs like tirzepatide have a known and monitored risk profile. Research-only peptides often have little or no human safety data, and grey-market products add contamination and mislabeling on top of that. "Safe" is not a property of the category.

Why list vial sizes at all?

Because it's one of the most common questions people ask, and a factual reference should answer it. The amounts are for orientation only and vary widely between suppliers.
